We arrived in Marseille in a panic because I had accidentally cancelled my booking at the Ibis and thought I’d loose my money. My father had booked a room at another Ibis not realising how far away it was from the centre of town. We thought we’d try our luck and see if there was anyway we could stay at the Gare Saint-Charles Ibis without loosing our money from either booking. The amazing Assia was so friendly and accommodating. She went above and beyond what was expected to sort everything out and find us a room even though the hotel was fully booked for the Easter weekend. It was a great start to a wonderful stay in Marseille. Would recommend the hotel for service, location and cleanliness....
When I arrived to Marseille I realised that the hotel I originally booked was too far away from the station. I tempted my luck and walked into the nearby Gare St Charles branch. I was met by a very friendly manager (Assia) who did her utmost best to put me at ease, cancel my reservation at the other hotel without incurring any penalties and managed to book me into the Saint Charles branch, even thought they were fully booked I could not have started my trip on a better note.. THANK YOU!!!!!
my card was charged 59 euros instead of 29 euros when I bought a dinner. I was told the money would be refunded the following Monday. The money has not arrived since then, despite repeatedly calls. It is terribly annoying that there is so much disinterest towards the guests. I would not recommend anyone to stay there.
La chambre est correcte mais il manque une bouilloire, du café, de l'eau pour le thé, etc. Il n'y a pas de serviettes et pas de mini-réfrigérateur non plus. En gros, c'est juste une chambre avec un lit, des toilettes et une douche. La télévision ne propose que des chaînes françaises. Réservez une table maintenant
