I promised myself I wouldn't write any more reviews, but everyone needs to know about this place! The service was absolutely amazing—truly flawless! And I’m not just talking about taking orders. The food was exquisite! The presentation was impeccable, leaving nothing to be desired. It was prepared quickly, but without sacrificing quality. You know that one annoying piece of food that sometimes gets stuck in your teeth? Even that morsel was delicious! The pricing, in my honest opinion, was very reasonable—considering the perfection of the food, it feels almost undervalued; it’s just that incredible. El Michoacano is one of the best restaurants I've ever visited in Iowa. After spending over a decade in San Antonio, I struggled to find authentic taqueria flavors in Iowa—until my son introduced me to this gem. It has quickly become my favorite restaurant. The food is always freshly prepared and served hot, with generous portions at reasonable prices. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming. What I love most is that, in addition to the incredible taste, cleanliness, and excellent service, there are also fantastic vegan options on the menu. If you love Latin cuisine, El Michoacano is a must-visit!

Food at el michoacano is delicious! After trying a couple of their dishes, my standard order is now 1 or 2 al pastor or chorizo tacos and 1 or 2 chorizo sopes. I'm so glad this place was recommended and I make sure to recommend it to others as well 10/10.Have yet to be disappointed. The staff is super friendly too and prices are fair.

Birria tacos and Michoacano beef tacos. Excellent. Both were authentic delicious meals.I would go back for sure.If your looking for upscale corporate, margaritas and lots of chips to graze on, this ain't the place.Real deal tacos served hot and fresh in small mom and pops hole in the wall, this is worthy of a try! This is a place everyone has to visit. They have very authentic Mexican food such as tacos (small tortilla), burritos, great quesadillas, ice cream and aguas frescas flavored water. We had some ?tacos de asada steak tacos, quesadilla, and fries. Allwas great!

We've tasted the tacos, sopes, empanadas, and quesadillas, and they are all fantastic. I really enjoy their chips, though the green salsa has a unique flavor—it’s not bad, just different. We absolutely love this place!
