Chicken Tikka rice bowl this evening (partially eaten, granted. I have been going here with my family for several years. I also love Indian food. I thought this was going to be a slam dunk. For $12, I expected chicken Tikka over rice, not chicken Tikka kebab meat served over rice. Chicken Tikka masala is supposed to be chicken simmered in sauce and served over rice. There is no sauce here. Only what the kebabs we're cooked with, which tastes more like a dry rub. Consequently, the rice has nothing to give it flavor except a hint of cilantro, and the grilled vegetables, while nice, do not fulfill the flavor profile of chicken Tikka. Just ordered almost $40 of food, all of it old and cold. Got there 10 mins BEFORE it was supposed to be picked up and it had been sitting for who knows how long. Chicken rubbery and old, fries hard and cold, shrimp rubbery and hard to even chew. The fried green beans were literally one big ball because they were not done frying. My family and I have been coming here often and I am so disappointed that I wasted my money on old gross food. In response to the owners reply, you want me to give it another chance to waste even more money? I don't want any more food from here, I want a refund for food that literally went in the garbage. My child bit into a cold scallop! Not even cooked thoroughly!
I spent almost $30 on 2 steak and cheese subs And let me tell you they were the biggest jokes I've ever seen in my life! There was so much bread that Was pure white because it didn't even touch meat. Please look at the following photos I would never go here again, last time I was here before covid they were amazing But nowthey obviously are hurting for money and trying to take advantage of customers now!Just returned the c and got my money back be back and the manager scoffed and said he doesn't care because that's how they preportion it and everybody else will buy Them if we don't. I would never support a business that treats their customers like that and Gives a comment like that
I've been living here for about two months now, and I have to say, this Ice House location has been consistently outstanding. I live close enough that the food has actually burned my tongue (and that’s a good thing!). There’s nothing worse than receiving cold, soggy fried food. I couldn't believe that their Southwestern Egg Roll is even better than what Chili's has ever offered. So far, they serve the best fried chicken and chicken tenders in the entire city. I really didn't want to take away a star, but the little details matter. There was no dipping sauce for my southwest egg rolls and no ketchup for my fries. Condiments are essential, especially for sides that rely on them. However, the Cuban Sandwich is outstanding; I've been to places run by Cuban families that don’t make it as well.
