Came here on a casual night drive and by dinner time we didn't know where to stop to eat. We were driving on the 27A and looking for places for dinner and we came across this place with very good ratings. Food is very good and well made. The Miso soup was not overly salted as some other Japanese places I've been. The décor is very typical of Japanese as it has these semi private booths which I have never seen before in any Japanese restaurants. Really liked this place and service was attentive. Even though it's a bit far from where I live I will def stop by when I am near this establishment.
I can't speak highly enough about Ichiban in Oakdale. I am a sushi lover and have tried sushi from many other places, but nothing compares to the quality at this restaurant. All of their sushi is fantastic and I have never had any issues with the quality or taste in the over 10 years that I have been coming here.
Ichiban Sushi is one of the best sushi places on Long Island. I love the ambiance and the private booths in the back. The sushi rolls are amazing, and I always bring my friends here whenever I can!
I've told all of my friends about this store because the interior is so adorable and the selection of sales is excellent. I just received a California roll, but it was excellent.

I have dined at this restaurant twice already - once during a trip and once inside the restaurant. The food is excellent and delicious. I will definitely be returning.
We ordered the platter for our Christmas Eve gathering and received 10 rolls for $100, which was an excellent value. Everyone at the party enjoyed the sushi!
Never a bad experience here. The ramen is great, sushi is great, and they have a lot of other options. They are always fast and so nice. Love this place!
I love treating myself to Ichiban Sushi whenever I want to celebrate a special occasion or satisfy my hunger. I highly recommend this restaurant.
