I ordered the Fioretti Boscaiola, but I found out that DoorDash requires you to choose a pasta before placing the order. I mentioned this in the comments and selected gnocchi so I could complete my order for the entrée. Unfortunately, they completely ignored my note and sent me gnocchi instead of the Boscaiola! My husband opted for angel hair pasta as a side with his shrimp scampi, but it came with overcooked, mushy rice instead! It was a terrible experience, and we won’t be ordering from here again!
When I first picked up there was a discrepancy in the door dash order. Just didnt show up on restaurants end. Hostess couldnt have been more friendly and helpful. While I probably would have enjoyed the meal more at the restaurant, it was still absolutely delicious. My husband has been searching for a Ricotta Homemade Italian Cheesecake since Rosina's closed and this hit the spot. Thanks for a great meal!
It was delicious. We both had appetizers, fried calamari and clams oregenato. For dinner chicken parm and grilled chicken with spinach risotto, asparagus, and grilled zucchini and squash. I would definately go back. A little pricy and a bit noisy but the wait staff was great and we made a reservation and were seated immediately. Remember, it's BYOB!!

Il Colosseo has excellent Italian food. Our party of six tried several salads, calamari, eggplant parmesan, zuppa di mare, the veal special and the Frank Sinatra special. All were outstanding. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful evening.
The restaurant had a noisy atmosphere, with tables stacked closely together, which made it quite uncomfortable. While the food was excellent, the poor service and various issues really detracted from what could have been a great experience.
The food is always amazing, and the service as well. Relaxing atmosphere, you never feel rushed. The only negative is there is a service charge if you pay with credit card . And they charged me $9 service fee for gluten free.
Fantastic service and delectable food! Definitely worth the tolls on the Outerbridge and Garden State Parkway every time! I’ll Colosseo is a hidden gem that always impresses!

I was disappointed that my favorite part, the olives, were missing from my Il Colosseo salad. However, it was still enjoyable overall.
It was an outstanding experience overall. I will definitely return again!
