The sfogliatelle (lobster tail) at this bakery is absolutely fantastic! I'm a big fan. However, on my first visit, I felt hurried as soon as I walked in. The woman at the counter didn't give me a moment to browse before asking, "Yes? Can I help you?" It felt quite rude and made for an uncomfortable experience. The second time I went, a young lady was working who was quite pleasant. But during my visit today, a gentleman rushed me when I asked for the sfogliatelle, pressuring me to quickly decide how many pieces I wanted. It created an awkward situation. The bakery is excellent, but I really hope they can work on their customer service approach.
I was looking forward to trying this bakery after reading the positive reviews. I ordered red velvet cake with cream cheese filling. I was told that they cannot make the entire cake with cream cheese frosting which was disappointing. The filling didn't have cream cheese taste at all. I also ordered macaroons which were overly sweet. I'm sure their cookies and cannoli tastes better as it's Italian owned. I hope they'll take my review into consideration and improve. This bakery is very close to where I live so I'd want to come again.
The pastries here are not fresh at all. Just bought a few Italian cookies and they all taste stale. Doesn't help that none of the employees in this bakery are friendly. They're all unpleasant when it comes to dealing with customer service. Definitely not coming here again. I'll go right down the block to The Little Sugar Shop for all my bakery needs. You would think considering another bakery is 4 doors down they would put in some kind of effort. But no! Can't believe they're serving stale cookies! Yuck!
Definitely one of the top 3 Italian bakeries in Long Island. Every year for the past 23 years, we have gotten a cannoli cake for my mother’s birthday here and every year it never disappoints. This year we had a small issue. We called and came in and were taken care of right away. They truly are the best. Also some of the best cannolis and cookies you will ever have.

I purchased a strawberry shortcake for a birthday celebration in December 2022, and it was the worst cake I've ever had! It was mostly cream with hardly any cake. I could have just bought a tub of Cool Whip and some strawberries instead. To top it off, the cake cost $29!

Enjoyed mini cannolis, and rainbow cookies to bring to family. 1st time in and very happy with the desserts, and people who work there super nice. Went on Christmas day will be back soon.
I absolutely love IL Corso! They offer the most amazing cakes, cookies, and pastries. I ordered a Napoleon cake for my husband's birthday, and it was simply delicious.

Disappointed on simple cake order ie. Durability, appearance, taste, accuracy of what was ordered.Guests ate 1 slice to be nice, stuck with half a cake nobody wants.
The Italian cookies are always fresh and delicious. The aren't dry and they don't crumble. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful.
