Wow. My new favorite restaurant. I moved to the area three years ago, and how have I been sleeping on this place? They have everything dialed in: great service, fun atmosphere, and the most crave-able cuisine. Two weeks later, I'm still thinking about my chicken parmesan with the sneaky kick, and my boyfriend's tender, perfectly seasoned filet. They do the classics, but find ways to surprise you. Whatever you do, do not skip dessert. The coconut citrus pie, I want to say, is something between a key lime pie and Basque cheesecake, and it is one of the best desserts that I have ever tasted. I went here for lunch, and it was quick and filling. I had orrechette with a regular made of veal and tomato tarragon cream sauce. It was delicious and perfectly balanced in flavors. The shrimp and scallop Caesar salad was large and had plenty of seafood but had soggy lettuce, which is to be expected from a hot protein. Everything was very filling. Good lunch on the way to SFO.
The food was amazing! I went primarily for the short rib small plate (brasatto), it was to die for! I could have eaten 12 of them they were so good. We also ordered the bruschetta which was good, the chicken ravioli (affumicato), and the Brussels sprouts followed by two amazing desserts. The service was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing. I will definitely be back!!
Solid as a rock San Rafael mainstay. Been here for what seems like forever, and for good reason. They treat their locals well, they don't try to get ALL OF YOUR in one visit! And they are professional. Food is great, drinks are as well. Bar dining available, as is outdoor seating. Long and the short of it... 5 Stars because they care.

Il Davide is a favorite any time visiting the West Coast and going through San Rafael. It truly is one of our favorite Italian restaurants for lunch or dinner. So many of the dishes are delicious it is hard to pick just one or two to review. Just go and find out for yourself !!
Had an absolutely phenomenal dinner and received great service from Daniel! Would definitely return here if visiting the Marin area again.
Such friendly service and delicious food. The braised short ribs were amazing as was their new brownie afogato dessert!
