Il Fornaio Santa Clara

well the noise level wasn't so much energetic as just loud and annoying. we were on the outside patio and they need to install some kind of sound absorbers. also, one of the pasta dishes says it was vegan but the waitress said no, it was regular pasta. that was wrong. i don't know what it but the pasta was not the typical egg noodle and it wasn't terribly good. i had the pomodoro dish (tomatoes, cork twist pasta). usually i love il fornaio but this time it wasn't so good

Their management was exceptional in handling us being a little late and making sure we were still able to have our dinner at close to their closing time. I do think it is strange that they close so early but I guess it is because most their business is around the office park for lunch and happy hour/earlier dinner. I would expect a restaurant like this to serve until at least if not

The deserts were yummy. My pizza was great flavor due to the cheese but thought it could use a bit more sausage
