Il Forno Restaurant is tucked away in a small shopping mall by NJ-28. There is ample parking and a good amount of seating inside the restaurant. The decor and atmosphere are reminiscent of an Italian marketplace given the painting and the lights hanging from the ceiling. The staff was very nice and polite. The plain slice, while not appearing to look as appetizing as other pizzerias was actually quite fantastic. It had okay cheese, good sauce, and an excellent crust. The crust was pleasantly fluffy and definitely enjoyable. The BBQ slice was alright. It was light on the BBQ sauce, but overall the chicken and onions were decent, albeit lacking in flavor.
I share the same sentiment as other reviewers: this restaurant's quality is very inconsistent. The plain pizza I just received looks and tastes like it had been sitting around and then reheated. I'm not impressed and definitely won't be returning.
Mmm... great Dunken Grandma pizza. The vodka sauce was sweet, mild and the crust was both smooth and crispy. It was different from any pizza I had in Jersey, in an unmistakable way. Order again!
Il forno, hands down, has the best paninis. I always get the grilled chicken panini. In the 9 years since knowing this place, Ive never had a better panini anywhere else

I have been craving eggplant parm and Il Fornos is absolutely delish! Thinly sliced perfect amount of sauce and cheese! Easily enough for 2 meals! Highly recommend
Food is great, service is quick. The only thing I can say is that the cannoli is tiny, especially for $5.99, so just a heads-up. Otherwise, delicious!
The best Italian restaurant in the area. Your food is always fresh and delicious. Also the fantastic salads and the ducks and pizza are fabulous!
Came here for a quick lunch during work, food was very good and the staff was friendly! Would definitely come back!

Fried Calamari was cold, and way to fishy tasting and smelling. Pepperoni Pizza Logs were amazing.
Absolutely delicious! I highly recommend, enough for two people
