Il Grano - Réservation de table

By coincidence we discovered this place just beside the river Aare. Beautiful place to sit outside, no traffic noise and view over the river. We enjoyed a real Italian espresso and marvelous Italian sweets. My be the only disappointing point was, that we got the espresso and the sweets came about 5 minutes later. Well the coffee was so lovely so we ordered afterwards another one. Later on I was able to visit the kitchen then I saw that each dessert was instantly prepared by hand. Nothing was prepared in the morning and then conserved in the fridge or deep freezer, as it happens very often. We will come back and plan to enjoy a dinner. The atmospher inside was very attraktive, too.

Everything was ok, except this time we were forgotten by the service, i.e. the glass of wine came to the table really late and after eating we went to the toilet, when I came back the empty plates were still there..... Not full restaurant, sorry...

There are around 3 starters and 4 mains to choose from. I ordered the only vegetarian item on the menu (a starter) which I was told would be too small for a main. I said that I am a vegetarian, the waitress replied that the...More Réservez une table maintenant

It's always great to eat there. Next we go to Cena Essen to try out new things for the new fall gourmet menu. I recommend Il Grano to everyone to try it out for themselves.
