First time for us at this restaurant, definitely will not be the last! By far the best Italian eatery we have ever eaten in. The pasta was perfect. Light and fresh and full of flavour. The pizza had the perfect dough.. so might, yet crispy. No crusts left on our plates. There is an excellent selection of starters and mains and the chef is clearly not scared to use different flavours. Lots of interesting things. Arannci with hot honey drizzle… absolutely wonderful. The house red wine is lovely, very drinkable! The staff are all a pleasure and delight. We just loved this place. So much so we have booked it for New Years Eve!!
Had a really lovely authentic meal at this wonderful restaurant. The fact that it is family run, by native Italians, definitely gives it the edge, from the quality and authenticity of the food, to the welcoming and attentive feel you will receive on entrance. The best traditional pizza I’ve had in London, baked in a wood-fired oven, not to mention arancini with that crunch of breadcrumbs on the outside; I have eaten them in their Sicilian home but never freshly served on a bed of a tomato-based sauce…delicious! I had been in Il Padrino before and I was very happy with the calzone, and tonight we had the calamari and the funghi gorgonzola. Both were amazing and the funghi in particular had the seal of approval of my Italian wife. I had the calzone, which was very big and filled, and my wife had the ravioli pescatore, and it was very good too. In fact it was too good that I had to help finish! For dessert we had a tiramisu and the restaurant was so kind to finish our evening with a lemoncelo. Will return soon!
This restaurant is a hidden gem in Kent—a family-owned pearl in the heart of Gravesend. Everything was absolutely above and beyond our expectations. The food is fresh, tasty, and the best Italian cuisine I've had in years. The service was personable and lovely; we truly felt like we were on holiday in Italy. Megan looked after us with such a professional and exquisite manner, we couldn't be more pleased. We will 100% be coming back.

I think the management has changed… they used to make amazing pizzas and great food… not sure what happened after … pizza is rubbery… no taste of mozzarella and authentic Italian ingredients like it used to…. It’s such a pity… I used to love this place… change chefs, food is not good quality… calamari reminded me the ones you get at LIDL… you were the only credible and tasty restaurant in Gravesend…
I am lost for words, my experience was absolutely amazing. Genuinely the best meal I have had in a long while time. Lovely lady who serviced, very kind and sweet. The food was exceptional and tasted delicious, so compliments to the chef. The restaurant atmosphere and area was just lovely the detail in design was exquisite. I can’t recommend enough. Thank you so much.
Great food, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, this is an authentic Italian restaurant, and i can highly recommend the Calzone. Well worth a visit if your in Rochester.
