Ilura - Réservation de table

We come to La Reserve every year to dine at Ilura or have lunch on the beautiful terrace with their magnificent seaview. Our latest visit, however, was disappointing. The offerings on the menu have always been limited, but delicious. This year we found the presentation continued to be spectacular, but the taste bland. As this is an expensive restaurant, the price-quality of the dishes was mediocre. Furthermore, it took 1 hour from the time we sat down until our 1st course arrived. Even though it was a Saturday night and busy, this was unacceptable. Furthermore, no apology, nor explanation for the delay for that matter was forthcoming. In Saint Jean probably the best high end restaurant with most likely the best view. We stayed in the hotel so the choice was easy. The food is a bit more researched, but still uhsing the local ingredients. The service is great, and the wine list has an excellent choice and is priced ok. We sat on the terrass twice and the views are simply stunning. Even though our kids eat everything, the kids dishes proposednwere great. No fries, but vegetables, with fish, etc. what you want!

We went for a Sunday lunch and had a great experience. The service was excellent and the view over the ocean breathtaking. What impressed us most were the fabulous flavors. The broths in both the entrées and the main courses where so complex and delicious. The strawberries in the desert where some of the best I've ever had. Everything is locally sourced and very seasonal. The experience was perfect. We would definitely go back!!

Nous avons passé un bon repas ici en août. La nourriture, même si les petites portions étaient de la plus haute qualité et compte tenu de ce que vous pouvez payer pour une foire standard dans cette région, c'est en fait correct. J'ai aimé les petits extras qu'ils vous donnent au début du repas, bon contact. La vue est parfaite si à la bonne table .Dans l'ensemble, ça vaut le coup de trouver cet endroit au sommet de la colline Réservez une table maintenant

Vegetarian friendly. Reached their after a nice long walk of the town. The waiter spoke English so it was easy to discuss the dish of our interest. Best part of the lunch was that the waiter took it as a challenge to deliver a mouth watering dish. It was vegetables and exotic herbs. the dessert Dulche du leche was amazing. Must visit this place when in Basque. Cheers to the team.

We stayed at the hotel and ate in their restaurant on a beautiful summer's evening. The location is very pretty - a nice garden overlooking the sea. But the food - it was exquisite. Every dish had a wonderful mix of flavours that seemed to work well together. One of our best meals ever.

As the title says we were there for business for 4 days. Had dinner 3 nights, 4 lunches and 4 breakfasts and each was excellent. Réservez une table maintenant

Stayed at this resort hotel, and didn't want to leave for dinner, even though St Jean de Luz is a walk or drive.
