My partner had the beef Bourgogne, you couldn’t really call it that though, more of a tasteless beef stew. Completely under seasoned, had never seen a drop a red with a nice mixture of frozen peas, a sad looking bowl of frozen veg and a blob of stale lumpy mash potato. I ordered the full English breakfast which wasn’t actually a full English as it didn’t include beans or hash brown, they were on offer to buy alongside the already extortionate price for the breakfast. We also ordered a coffee each, we were brought the coffee within 5 mins and we waited around 30-40 minutes for our food to arrive, we’d already drank our coffees when the food arrived. I had high expectations for this restaurant after looking at the menu, but unfortunately, the food did not live up to those expectations. The beef bourguignon was a far cry from the classic French dish I was hoping for. It lacked wine, had large chunks of bacon, frozen peas, was under-seasoned, and the vegetables were overcooked. This used to be a reliable spot for good food, a town favorite. However, our recent visit did not live up to the restaurant's previous reputation. The venue felt worn-out and neglected, and the staff seemed disinterested. The food quality had declined, likely due to a menu that was too extensive to maintain quality. The beef bourguignon was a disappointment, as were the bland and unappetizing vegetables on the side. The portions had increased, but at the expense of quality. I usually don't write reviews, but... The staff at this restaurant is not the best and some of them have poor hygiene practices, such as carrying towels over their shoulders that touch their hair and then picking up plates from tables. This is not very hygienic. However, we went for breakfast and the coffee was great, as well as the orange juice. An older woman was rude to us, telling us to just stand and wait because she was busy. Eventually, we were shown to a table and our order was taken quickly. The prices were a bit high compared to other places nearby.
I didnt stay here for a coffee, as I stood waiting to be seated whilst 3 staff carried out their work, saw me but didnt acknowledge I was there. One staff walked past me to serve a seated couple without even a 'hello ' or 'Ill be with you shortly '. I appreciate they were busy but politeness, even just a nodd or smile in my direction would have kept my custom. Pretentious and unwelcoming.
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It is a well-managed café-restaurant with a good selection of menu items in a continental style. The service is good during lunchtime and it is obvious that it is a favorite among local office workers. The prices are quite reasonable as well.
I come to the Cafe often with friends and family. We all love it, whether it’s for Brunch, a relaxing evening meal or just a coffee. The service is just as good, the girls are always so welcoming and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!

The food at this restaurant is delicious. The staff were polite and helpful. I really enjoyed the lively atmosphere at the restaurant. It is very family-friendly, with amenities like baby wipes, nappy bags, and a clean changing mat in the women's restroom.
Had an excellent breakfast. Food was fantastic and service was great. The standards are always high here, highly recommended.
