a friend wanted something sushi in the valley stream area and was never in atoms hibachi and sushi place. it is out of the way and they can easily miss it if they don't know where they find the place. it is a small key near a cross and dimly illuminated. the outside resembles something like a Japanese garden in smaller dimensions. the setup small chairs and tables for the case that they want to sit outside. as soon as they get in, they go a small staircase that hooks left and they can see how big this device is. they have some hibachi tables and the place was for large families in the location. they also supply these large rigid plastic barriers to separate the groups from one another. they...
I visited Inatome for the first time and was excited to try their hibachi. Finding parking and the restaurant itself was easy. The service was great, but I was disappointed by the lackluster food. My group ordered shumai, calamari, sushi (California roll), and edamame. I only tried the calamari, edamame, and sushi, and found them all to be lacking in flavor. The calamari and chicken was dry and under-seasoned, while the sushi tasted bland. The steak was overcooked and the fried rice tasted like plain white rice drenched in soy sauce. The vegetables seemed like an afterthought. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with my meal and hope for better flavors in the future.
Our server was great, very friendly, but the performance was pretty lackluster for a hibachi place. The food was good but not enough went around the table and we ended up picking off each others plates. Now I came in with a big group, so one half of the group was served by a different server and they got way more food, but I was also sitting on the kids side of the group, so that may be why the food just didn't get around. Other than that it's nice, but gets pretty loud with other tables screaming, and it's clean. I would recommend coming here at least once.
On this side of Long Island this is the number one restaurant that serves authentic Japanese cuisine, their sushi chef are well known Japanese. This is where all the local Japanese come to eat, and I can see why. I really enjoy their traditional Japanese garden. The manager naturally makes you feel like you're in a family restaurant, and that's why I see groups of families hibachi the hibachi. Réservez une table maintenant
The sushi rolls had unpleasant rice, almost resembling brown rice, and it was too crunchy. The chicken was of poor quality and chewy. The Wagyu beef had fatty pieces for a price of $115. However, the variety of sauces was tasty. The shumai was good. The fried ice cream was good but not warm enough. The restaurant is beautiful and has a lovely atmosphere. The staff is also nice.
Sushi was ok, shumai was great. But the salad was already turning brown when I received it. And I ask for (and pay for) two sides of real wasabi. And they put a minuscule amount in the container! Like 1/4 of an ounce! The guys on the weekend cut the fish differently. And are more generoues. x
we had so much luck sitting in the sushi bar on Friday night, which is why we don't try their omakase. the meal began with a refreshing salad, followed by 3 pieces of boiled fish. then their delicious and fresh sushi. the omakase costs $80 per person and it is worth the price.
