Perhaps we came on an off day, but I just wasn 't impressed with what we got. My husband and I both got the spicy sausage crumpet sandwich, and for drinks we ordered an Americano and an iced hazelnut latte. The coffee is good, but much like its namesake, this café can be a bit tricky to locate since it’s nestled inside another building. I wish they had a wider variety of pastries and food items! I visited around 10 AM on a weekday and had to wait in line for a short while. I ordered a latte with almond milk and a slice of their red velvet loaf, while my boyfriend chose a mocha and a breakfast sandwich. The coffee was enjoyable, though not outstanding—it got the job done and was pleasantly non-acidic. This is a hidden gem that's easy to overlook, so be sure to look for their banner outside on the sidewalk. They're located right in the lobby of the VSO School of Music. I absolutely love their coffee; I've visited several times just to enjoy a simple brewed coffee or an Americano. On my most recent visit, I tried their seasonal Salted Caramel Latte (half sweet) for around $9 for a large. We had high hopes based on Yelp reviews (I can count the number of 5-star places with more than 20 reviews on one hand), but unfortunately, we were let down. First impression: the name is charming, especially since the café is tucked away in the lobby of the VSO School of Music. If you're going to call yourself the best coffee in Vancouver, you better bring receipts. My tasting companion is a coffee snob one of those guys who's been known to drive 30 mins for a particular roast. We both like light to medium roasts which have higher acidity and more complex flavors. Incognito is medium to dark roast which gave it a robust flavor but it was too bitter for me. Found at the entrance of the VSO, building, Incognito is typical of a cafe adjacent to an educational institution. Light snacks, coffee and beverages are on offer from the small counter tucked away in the far back corner. While being warmly greeted by service staff, very clean premises and good overall appearance due to the mostly concrete walls, large staircase and open seating to the building entrance, you never really feel like this is a defined space and more than a convenience. The location of this coffee shop isn't great. Go at the wrong time of morning on a weekend and you'll likely see drunk people staggering out of clubs and bars along with the ever-present unhoused lying about on every corner and in every alley, The drinks are good and the service is very friendly and welcoming, The space itself is inelegant to put it mildly and the atmosphere isn't as inviting as the baristas.

This is my second visit to Incognito. The shop is located in the lobby of the Vancouver School of Music. The coffee is always consistently great. My first visit we ordered baked goods but they tasted store-bought. I knocked off one star for that. We ordered the hot chocolate and the mocha latte dark. I highly recommend the coffees if you like a smooth, non-burnt cup of java to start your day. Réservez une table maintenant

Came back to Incognito Van BC from Seattle and stop by breakfast w my hubby. My favorite Almond croissant and Cappuccinos. Service and taste good here. It's cold every time the door opens, but the classic Christmas music makes you feel at peace.

Staff: Moderately friendly but nothing special. Quality: The coffee was good as well as our croissants. Value: Fair Overall: I'd come back. The name truly is accurate. This place is totally tucked inside of another building so hard to find.
