My German friend had made a table reservation at India House for my visit. I found their website after searching for an Indian restaurant in the area, and the premises and menu seemed promising. On our arrival, only 4 tables were occupied, so no reservation was necessary on a Saturday night.The food and drinks were very reasonably priced, but that's really the only good point. The ambience of the restaurant is poor, with none of the atmosphere typical of an Indian restaurant in the UK. The food arrived quite quickly, but unusually, pakora and naan bread arrived together, very quickly after poppadoms were served. Very surprising. As a frequent visitor to Ravensburg, and a lover of spicy Indian food, I've eaten here 3 or 4 times over the last couple of years. Apart from finding the food a bit too salty, there's not really anything wrong with it. However, if you're expecting to be served a nice spicy meal then forget it! The sauces served with the meals I've had are best described as 'gravy' with not so much as a hint of spice; I have even asked for 'sehr scharfe' in the past! Coyld be that German people are not really lovers of spice generally; but I know a few 'Ravensburgers' who are!!Don't let my review deter you from trying this for something a bit different in this lovely town, after all, it's a nice clean restaur...
Visited along with 3 of my colleagues who are German, Brazilian and Dutch.The ambience and service were good. It is walkable distance in the city centre nearer to many hotels.I just has a Tomato soup, a mango lassi and assorted vegetable bhajjis.The taste was good and quantity sufficient at that lunch time.My colleagues ordered rice, rotis, some meat and vegetable dishes which they enjoyed.Will surely visit again if I visit the city of Ravensburg again...Rtn.J.Ganesh
My wife and I were looking for Indian food - just had a taste for it. So we went for the lunch buffett and had our fill. The food was good, but we could have had more spice - just kind of like spicy Indian food. This was mild and would be suitable for almost any one.The service was very good and friendly. Hardly anyone in the place so we had the buffett to ourselfs and the price was very resonable.

We wanted an Indian take away. I was a little surprised at what we got, as it's not what I'd typically expect from an Indian restaurant. However, as I like my food spicy I was warned to emphasise this as I guess the locals don't usually like it hot. A nice enough meal and the staff were lovely.
Grumpy staff only wanted to watch the football on TV. Only Indian restaurant I know that has a TV. Food was very salty and uneatable. Complained about but was ignored. Think twice before going there. If you like salty uneatable food served by surly waiters be my guest.
I have been to this nice decent Indian restaurant in the main market area of ravensburg multiple time. The food is great; service is prompt; place is clean and the owner Mr.gurpreet is a very nice person. Would recommend this place to all for Indian food
The worst nightmare of my life. The food is overly expensive for what is offered. The waiter was so rude. He made me feel he looked down on us. And the worst of all, I had a stomach pain for the next 2 days since I ordered that fish dish

Ordered a take away of three dishes one evening. Only to find out at home that the dishes tasted terrible and one was smelling even bad. Called them up and complained. I will not visit this place again. Used to be good.
The food was really really bad. If you are someone who likes to pay money and get tomato gravy with anything you order then please go here. Service is poor....
