While the term express in the name indicates the target market of this restaurant, take away, it should not be the way you consume the food.That should be done slowly and with appreciation.From its quirky road side sign, to the small interior that couldn't handle too many bookings, this restaurant defines itself by being slightly different to so many other local Indian places, but it really differentiates itself with the quality of its food.Too many times Indian food presented at suburban restaurants resembles pretty much what some time and effort on your own part could replicate at home. excited to try this, after reading adelaide food central's review describe it as a hidden gem. I would have concentrated more on the phrase a little too much salt. we ordered chicken tikka masala, which was quite beautiful, sweet jalfrezi, which was good and then the two inedible dishes: one was meant, lamb rogan josh (but it was marked bark and the other was meant to be bark corma (but was marked rogan josh). the bark rogan josh was so salty that there was an accident in the kitchen; the bark corma (rogan josh? was also very salty, but worse it had at least 1 full cup oil floating on the surface of the removal container. pricing was great...read more
Located on the busy traffic thoroughfare of Daws Road, within a small shopping complex, is Indian Palace Express. The quaint little restaurant and take away seats 24 people with ample parking in the surrounds. There are wall features in the form of carvings that make the place traditional as does the orange and red colour scheme. The menu is fairly standard when it comes to Indian fare and is categorised into entrees, mains, vegetarian, rice, salads, accompaniments, breads and desserts. Owner and Chef, Vipin Kumar, used to work at British India, and likes to use fresh, local ingredients in all dishes on offer.
Solid Indian eatery. Small dining area inside but mostly a takeaway joint. Affordable pricing and decent quality curries. A good local alternative, really cheap lunch deals too $8.90 curry and rice. I ordered online on Thursday at 18 o'clock (during opening hours) paid online and everything to come and find out that they were closed. everything online is still saying that they are open. I tried to call twice, and it ranked through a voicemail that said that her post-inbox was full so I can't leave a message.
I and the big man may feel rough after a big one last night. the Indian palast dipped on my over eats with a lunch special $8.90 curry, rice and naan. it's all delicious. yummy pickles and big cheese naan, with food delivery in under 20 minutes, this place is a victor for us today.
have already been 3 times Indian palast and have found the personal to be friendly and eating excellent. although the restaurant as a drink license seems to be the most meal times, but we certainly enjoyed being in. looks to be family business, so we wish them all good.
