Great food...if you're willing to wait! We thought we were wise to come early so we could eat early. Didn't work out that way, but at least we did get a table, whereas by the time we had ordered, there was a line out the door waiting for tables, before 6pm! But we did have to wait another 45 minutes for our meals to arrive, so just plan accordingly. The food is done very well. Portions are adequate (even for hungry eaters like us). We ordered Palak Paneer,which was noticeably fresh and tasty. We also had Varutharacha Lamb Curry in a roasted coconut sauce with curry leaves and dry red chilis. I recently visited here and had an OK experience- the food was amazing, very delicious and hot. The rest of my party got their food within around 45 minutes but mine was completely forgotten and I received it after about 1 hr 15 mins. The food is really good but the service is very subpar. My only wish was that I had received my food at the same time as everyone else and hadn’t had to ask where it was, and there was confusion between those bringing out the food regarding what they were bringing us.
I have liked this restaurant for a number of years and wandered how an Indian restaurant in a small University town makes authentic Indian food. Well that has changed. Last time I visited all the dishes that we ordered tasted different. Even simple dishes like Samosa and Dosa along with their fillings and sauces no longer tasted authentic. It is not a good trend.
