I thought I would not waste my time by writing a review but finally changed my mind. As an Indian at least I can alert people not to be fooled/looted by a Premium Indian restaurant where the food quality is below average. We went to this restaurant on 6th Aug 2022 and we were 7 adults and 2 kids (4 and 5 years old). We ordered the food at 3:30 PM and after 1 hour and 15 mins, they started serving the food. We ordered for 3 Thali mit Fleisch, 2 Hyderabadi Biryani, 2 Chicken Biryani, 3 Bottles of water, 1 Mango Lassi and 3 Beers. We mentioned them to give us chicken tikka masala in Thali. We had about an hour and twenty minutes to spare at Kassel Wilhelmshöhe Bahnhof and wondered if we could get a meal in that time (cafe in the station was closed at the time). We had previously walked passed the Himalaya restaurant on many occassions but never tried it. Conscious of our limited time, we asked the waitress if this was a problem and she kindly offered to check with the chef. We were assured it would be ok. We've never been to Asia so I can't comment on the authenticity of the flavours but both main course dishes were delicious. Fantastic dinner with top quality service!The owner is extremely kind and very attentive to his clients’ needs.The rest of the staff is also nice,friendly and professional.Very pleasant and quiet terrace.The menu is full of different dishes and drinks,the quality of the dishes served fantastic.The price is very honest.A must try in Kassel!

We had a great meal. Restaurant is above train station. Don’t let that put you off. Menu is good but they cook special requests (I orders Chicken Vindaloo). Kingfisher beer and very good staff. All in all surprisingly good as curries outside UK normally disappoint! Not this one! Réservez une table maintenant

Very good authentic food. Fresh and tasty. Welcoming staff. We tried the butter chicken and beef korma (boring I know) but the taste took us back to India!

Best Indian food that I have had outside India. Period. Not cheap but worth every cent!!! Surprised to find this gem in Kassel.
