If you are visiting Napa, there are a number of iconic vineyards that need to be on your list and Francis Ford Coppola's Inglenook is one of them. This historic winery and estate is overwhelmingly beautiful. This winery was not on our list, however the General Manager of our hotel, Rancho Caymus, insisted that we go and even made our reservation. Had a visit scheduled for May 1, 2022. Winery requires not only that you be vaccinated, but if your last vaccine was more than 6 months prior to your visit, you then would need to have a booster. No other winery or restaurant in NAPA that I am visiting dining at and or have looked into visiting and or dining at requires a vaccine. I realize I am in California and they are to the far left, but even this is ridiculous for California. California is open. I can go to a sporting event with 80,000 people with no masks and no vaccine. If your employee's are vaccinated with 3 4 doses, what are you worried about? I would actually love to know your rationale behind this requirement.
Inglenook is usually pretty booked, but we were lucky to snag a last minute tasting. We booked 2 3 days before and there was an early morning tasting. We have been to Inglenook once before and remembered that we enjoyed it, so we decided to come again. The tasting area is pretty cool. There are different tasting rooms and it's kinda like a cave, even though it's ground level. We had the Heritage Tasting for 2 and it came with cheese and crackers! How awesome is that!? The wines were great and the pours were heavy, so that's always a plus! Would definitely recommend to Cab lovers!

david aka “Leopoldo” made us feel like we were the only ones we were not busy. He treated us like we were friends right away. we had a baby with us, and he didn't skip a beat. on this afternoon we learned an immense amount of wine from him. we were in the bistro since we had a child, and it was a great experience! we enjoyed every moment, we will come back and tell everyone.
The restaurant features beautiful, spacious rooms, all with indoor seating. The staff is friendly, and the location is excellent. Their dishes are fantastic, and I had the best night's sleep there. They offer made-to-order breakfast omelets, and during happy hour, you can enjoy wine, mixed drinks, along with cheese and sweet treats.
David was such an amazing host! We had wine in the bistro with our friends and their 4 month old, and we were treated with the same respect as any other patron. We had a wonderful experience, learned a lot, and David made us feel at home even as very amateur wine tasters. Thank you Inglenook!
Amazing experience. Great hospitality, great food and wine, beautiful acreage, and interesting museum upstairs. We had an entire room in the bistro to ourselves that opened up to the outside.
