An absolute must see and do in Washington DC! Mr. Tom Stack has a friendly staff, a broad menu. The beer is cold and the food is ASTOUNDING!! I ate several things off of the menu. All of it was very good. Leslie, Collin and the gang are a great group to hang out with. They know the food and they know the drinks. I'm from Central Georgia but I felt like a regular by the time I left on Tues night. I was a regular by the end of my visit in Washington. I ate at least one meal there everyday! And drank enough beer to float a battle boat. So if you are in DC go by and see them. Tell em Dan from Georgia sent you. Eat a spicy bag and have a pint. You may not ever wanna leave!
The service was good, present but not annoying. The stew was very rich and heavy, I wish there were more mashed potatoes though. My coworkers loved the fish and chips, the hummus was also good. The dj/music was turned up so loud towards the end it gave me a headache and we left (around 8 pm). Others dining were also bothered by how loud it was and I noticed the restaurant cleared out quickly afterwards.
We were greeted with ice-cold water as soon as we walked in, which was a welcome relief after our mile-long trek in the heat. I had the best shepherd's pie I’ve ever tasted, and for dessert, we enjoyed a delightful cream broth. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The highlight of our visit? The absolutely amazing staff. You really need to check this place out!
An amazing ambience, perfectly complemented by a flawless serving of Guiness and a good old delicious Shepherd 's pie just topped of my Saturday evening visit to this place. This place has the perfect combination of a casual diner and hole in the wall vibes. One of my friends had a Moscow mule, which was great, too. Definitely recommend if you are in DC. Across from Saint Mary Mother of God R.C. Church NW Washington DC, 15 min from Union Station. Interesting Irish stop spot with an active bar/restaurant serving lunch dinner with attentive staff, try generous serving of ceeamy tomato soup special grilled cheese sandwich with bacon tomato. Authentic Irish decor sparking some nostalgia.
This is a fantastic spot for a hearty breakfast and catching a football game. The service was excellent, and they had multiple screens for the matches. As a Spurs fan, I really enjoyed watching the games surrounded by fellow supporters. The beer was reasonably priced too, especially with the special offer while Spurs played.
