Isabella’s is the one place where our friends and visitors want to go when in town. The team has now won a Highly Commended at the Food Awards Wales 2023 and thoroughly deserved it is too! The quality of their food is amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the homemade curried parsnip and potato soup. So many choices on the two course menu will satisfy everyone, the homemade fish cakes can be recommended too. All in all superb food and drink, delightful staff and a relaxed setting. By far our favourite place to eat in South Wales.
We were only in Parthcawl for 2 nights but were so impressed with Isabella's set menu on the first night that we booked the next night to try their a la carte menu. I can only say all our meals were delicious, the duck in red wine source was to die for. The staff were all helpful and friendly, and they managed to be attentive without being intrusive, both nights were a pleasure. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant and if we are ever in the area again we will definitely eat at isobella's.
Paninis, toasties, pancakes, and sandwiches abound at this restaurant, as well as a wide selection of cakes. The owners are attentive to customers with dietary restrictions, as one of their family members is coeliac, and they are well-informed about cross-contamination prevention measures. The food was delicious, and the owners were delightful as well.
We’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for ages! So we picked it for our 20th wedding anniversary meal and it did not disappoint. Food was lovely! Particularly the prawn starter! Staff were lovely and checked on us regularly. The atmosphere was perfect too! We will be returning soon!

A lovely local restaurant in the heart of Porthcawl, delicious food beautifully cooked served. Excellent, friendly staff. They have won a number of awards inc a recent national one very well deserved. Would definitely return recommend to visitors without hesitation.
The food and staff at this restaurant are wonderful! Almost everything on the menu is naturally gluten-free. The quality of the ingredients is top-notch as well. I would definitely return when I am in the area.
Great value set menu starter and main for around £16 I had a lovely rump steak, which was worth more then £16 alone. Lovely staff, great atmosphere and location. Happy to recommend.
The restaurant offers a variety of naturally gluten-free options on their Mediterranean menu. I enjoyed a delicious GF chocolate mousse for dessert.
