Island Gypsy Cafe Marina

We decided to switch it up on the Isle of Capri, we had been to the Capri Fish House Tiki Hut which we love and the Osteria Capri more upscale (but just OK) but we had been never been to the Gypsy. Well to sum it up this place is like the Snook Inn but on the Isle of Capri. But it 's a Snook-Like place with Excellent Food. Excellent- Lobster Ruben on toasted marble rye with cold slaw, secret dressing with melted Swiss, lobster salad. No corned beef, but it doesn 't need it, it would drown out the lobster sweetness. Came here for dinner last night. A beautiful spot on the water. Ambience of the restaurant is great. Loved all the bright colors. We ordered the onion rings for an appetizer and they were big mighty delicious. The sauce that came with is extra yummy. For the main I ordered the peel and eat shrimp, asked for them hot. Came with the most delicious cocktail sauce! They were pretty decent sized shrimp and I enjoyed every bite. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals as well. And as for the leftovers you can throw them into the water behind and watch the catfish go to town. Parking in front is minimal, but there's plenty of spots in the back! Our server was rad, we will definitely be back!

Came in to check it out based on a recommendation. The restaurant is tucked behind a marina on the water so it has some nice views of the water. I was waited in by Chris who did a great job of hosting us. He was very polite, knowledgeable, and on top of things even though the night was picking up. I got the fish tacos and they came with house chips and some pineapple. The fish was a little dry but the sauce on them balanced it out. The food all tasted fresh and was filling. I would stop here again.

If you check out Naples area this is a good place to stop at to eat. Loved the outside atmosphere overlooking the water. They have umbrellas and fans everywhere so we were not hot sitting outside. All the apps we ordered were good and would recommend spiced tuna, onion rings, peel and eat shrimp, coconut shrimp and wings. The wings here are the breaded type so heads up. Fried seafood basket was what most ordered at the table and all enjoyed. Lobster N euben was good. Our waitress was great.

Cute open air on a dock. Lobster Reuben was delicious and piled w lobster. Tuna nachos were good (Thai style). Totally laid back atmosphere great for a beach hair day!
