Among the numerous options on the Waikiki strip, the Island Vintage Wine Bar truly stands out. The entire staff was exceptionally welcoming and demonstrated a deep knowledge of the extensive menu. Takama (my apologies if I misspelled the name) provided excellent recommendations on the poke bowls. I chose the Hawaiian chili poke bowl with half Ahi and half Hamachi, and it was fantastic. Our waitress, Sara, was incredibly kind and made us feel like part of the family. I can't wait to return to Hawaii just to visit the Island Vintage Wine Bar again. Mahalo!
We visited Hawaii and decided to try this restaurant because of its excellent reviews. I must say, it's one of the best shave ice places we've ever been to. The flavors are delicious and distinctly unique compared to many other places we've tried. It's no surprise it has such a high rating. However, I do have a negative point to mention: the portion sizes are quite small. We didn't expect them to be that small compared to the images on the menu. They seemed to use a different presentation when we were there.
It?s a must for anyone going to Oahu. I have tried almost all the flavors they provide. All of them were so good. Definitely recommend. The queue will always be long, but it?s worth the wait! Just take the serving to sit and enjoy amidst the lit torches, very close the shop. They use fresh fruit to make the syrup and that should be reason why it tastes so good. There are 2 or 3 gentlemen working diligently and creating these masterpieces- kudos to them!!
This is easily my favorite shave ice spot in Oahu. We visited almost every day! Their shave ice is finely shaved and light and fluffy, and what sets them apart from many other places is that they use natural flavorings. Instead of being overly sweet, their shave ice is incredibly refreshing and makes for the perfect afternoon snack. I recommend going during the daytime, as the lines can get really long at night—but it’s definitely worth the wait! Réservez une table maintenant
The shave ice here is outstanding! The flavors are fantastic, and the ice is wonderfully soft and fluffy. Depending on the time of day, you might encounter a long line, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. You can place your order using a tablet at the food stand, which I think is pretty convenient. Personally, I prefer this spot to Matsumoto's, and it's conveniently located right in Waikiki.
Decided to try this place out after seeing the massive line to the coffee shop next door. This place serves the exact same things, just a tiny bit more expensive but with sit down table service. We had a lovely view of the Royal Hawaiian hotel gardens, nice calming vibe and atmosphere to enjoy our Açaí bowl. Would come back again and try their lunch and dinner menu.
Delicious cheese burger with caramelized onions! Good service, nice laid back atmosphere without too much noise, great wine list. If you like white wine and haven’t tried it, then give the Vine Verde a try. The one thing I didn’t like was that the fries tasted fishy (maybe they use the same frying oil? . Would come back for sure!
