We made a reservation for 7:30 on a Saturday night and when we arrived, the restaurant was bustling with noise and activity, reminiscent of a factory canteen. The pumping club music and close proximity of the tables made it necessary to raise our voices just to carry on a conversation. The food was enjoyable, but there were no substitutions allowed from the menu offerings. Service was quick, indicating that the dishes were likely prepared in advance, but there seemed to be a shortage of staff attending to the tables. Really enjoyed my first visit to the Istanbul Kitchen and taking advantage of the lunch time offer they have for 2 courses. Everything was delicious! The portions were generous and came with the additions of bread, salad and sauces. I think it was such good value, teamed with good, quick service. I'll definitely be back again.

When Istanbul Kitchen first opened it was a refreshing change to Bexleyheath dining. Sadly the restaurant has declined although the service has not. Attentive staff make it work. The lamb was tough and hard to chew which marred the enjoyment, pity

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and good service, but the food was one of the worst I've had at a restaurant. I spent £60 and left feeling hungry. I do not recommend this place.
