We drove 9 hours to our cabin in Hayward to an empty fridge and pantry. Called Italia to do carryout and was told they were too busy for carryout. So If we would have gone to the restaurant would they have been too busy to seat us, take our drink orders, answer questions about the menu, take our dinner order, etc? I would think they'd be thrilled to get a carryout order where they can box it and send us on our way! Well I'm glad they are so busy they don't need our business anymore, ever. We recently had a very enjoyable meal at Italia, in Northwoods Beach. The owner was genuinely warm and friendly, as were the employees. The presentation was lovely, as was the food. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. All were quite tasty, and authentic Italian. I especially enjoyed mine. It really was quite good. I would have enjoyed a little more. The only exception was the bread, which was not. It was disappointing for Italian dining. I bake fine European bread. This was not. Heather (our server) was very knowledgeable, helpful, timely and so friendly. she really made our evening particularly pleasant. then eat. I had the spaghetti bolognese, as I liked a more traditional meal when in an Italian kitchen try for the first time. it was as good as anyone I ever had. simply delicious. my wife had a caprese salad and the creamy tortellini soup and said they were excellent. we both agreed that we found a new favourite place and will definitely be back. thanks for a great evening!

Superior Italian restaurant in the deep woods (and lakes) near Hayward WI. The swordfish with orzo was superb, the chicken main course likewise. The shared salad couldn't have been fresher. The wait staff and owners couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The wine list isn't all that long, but it has a well-selected array of Italian wines at reasonable prices, and with many wines available by the glass. Get directions before you go, since Italia isn't all that easy to find, but it certainly is worth the effort!
We ate here tonight for the third time. Each time the food and service exceeded our expectations. Great menu, great specials, and great desserts. I appreciated the decent house wines by the glass, too. Desserts are WAY too good. We will be back. We live in Roseville, MN, but are up here several times each summer. This is THE place to eat for a great night out in the Hayward area, and we will be back many times after we retire in June.
We had a group of 15 and the folks at Italia did a wonderful job. Melissa was our server and handled our group well. The food was outstanding. Everyone in our group raves about their dishes, and they all came out at the same time. The chef came out to thank us for coming in. We will be back.

Six of us had dinner. Everyone said their food was excellent. Owner greeted us and talk about the restaurant. Wait staff friendly and efficient. We all agreed we will come again
