Iva Lee's Catering

I called the restaurant directly to book a reservation for six, and I was greeted by a very friendly staff member. When we arrived on the night of our reservation, everything was perfect. The hostess was incredibly nice and seated us right away. Our server, Nate, was attentive and took excellent care of our table throughout the evening. The drinks, food, and live band were all fantastic, and I especially loved the jambalaya. Overall, it was a wonderful night out, and I'm already looking forward to our next visit to Iva Lee's. The only downside was that we didn't get the heart-shaped cornbread that we adore so much.

I’m giving this restaurant a rounded-up score of 4. While the meal was decent and reasonably priced, I do wonder how long they can thrive without more customers. The menu shows great potential, but the kitchen seems to miss the mark occasionally. Please refer to the photo captions for more details. The ambiance is inconsistent, with some areas too dark and others too bright, lacking a cohesive feel. We really wanted to enjoy our experience since we appreciate the concept. It would be great if the kitchen could speed things up and refine their recipes just a bit more.

When it comes to the food, the fried green tomatoes served with a spicy remoulade were particularly memorable, and the Caesar salad topped with seared ahi was also delightful. While the jambalaya was tasty, it could benefit from improved shrimp, andouille sausage, and rice for a better overall experience. Overall, we had a fantastic time that transported us back to the '80s. The live music, which I previously mentioned, was filled with classic and British rock classics. I would definitely return for the music alone, but the food was also quite enjoyable.

Our experience with a large party of over 20 was disappointing. There was only one server attending to our table, which resulted in delays between courses. However, the atmosphere, live music, and food were fantastic. The personalized menus for our event raised our expectations right from the start, but unfortunately, the service didn’t quite meet those standards. I would love to return with a smaller group. I hope they can enhance their service for larger parties so I can bring more friends back! Réservez une table maintenant

Not my first time here, been coming in for years. Ordered some take out tonight. Got the fried chicken some fried tomatoes and the chocolate cake. It was all delicious. If you’re looking for inside catering for an event or wedding they can take care ofthose needs as well.

Heather the hostess was very rude to my wife when she came in asking for a table. People were leaving and offered their table to us so I asked if we could sit at that table and she barked at me telling me that I can’t sit any where. I will not be coming back here!!

I absolutely adored this charming and cozy restaurant! The service was outstanding. The host greeted us warmly, and our waiter was very attentive. The food was of high quality, and the cocktails were fantastic. I will definitely be back!

A true gem in San Clemente. Great place to mingle with locals and get a great meal. Don't leave without ordering the tater tots!
