This spot in Albany boasts of nightly music with local bands. They have tickets that you can buy ahead of time or at the door. For a measly $10 you can see 3-4 good local bands and support local thriving artists. What I like most about this place was this feeling of community with bands, all of them supported each other and some even shared the same artists. It was truly something I hadn't seen before with bands pumping each other up. Each band was diversely different but the music was always entertaining. Quite possibly my favorite music venue. I've been going to shows for 40 years and, for the last 30 years, I've been in just about every venue in the Bay Area to see bands and AS the band. As an audience member, and as a musician, the sound quality is never what it could be. Sometimes it's the shape of the room, sometimes it's the equipment, most of the time it's the person running the board. The Ivy room has GREAT SOUND. Luck? Talent? Engineering? Who cares why? It is the only place that hasn't made me want to commandeer control of the board. How do they do it? It remains a mystery that I don't need to solve. Nice venue, though the seating situation leaves a little to be desired. Nice they survived the last couple of years. They do bring in a nice and varied list of entertainers. Plus, Their drinks are fairly priced and poured even better. Thanks, KJ

Came for a show with a friend last week. Got there early to set up. Everyone on staff was so nice! Bartenders were so sweet and funny and the bouncer was so nice! It was too loud and I went outside and it was cold and he let me wear his jacket Réservez une table maintenant

Great Albany hangout for high quality live music and strong cocktails. Great place to check out a surprisingly larg amount of known bands in a super intimate setting. Near a lot of cute, classy restaurants as well.
