I have been to this restaurant I. The past but I wasn't doing reviews at the time. I recently went back and ordered the Pecan Encrusted Trout. The food has always been pretty good. I believe the fish may has been slightly overcooked but the crust was there. The fish lacked the flakiness because it was seared too hard. The flavor was on point however. It was topped with a mustard sauce. The sauce was okay but I could have thought of some other sauce that may have complimented the fish better. The drinks were good and the carrit cake was great! I would go back again although I just learned their name will be changing to Redland Grill? Ummm, not as classy as J. Alexander but they have their rea...

My boss took me to congratulatory lunch, we ordered a appetizer and 2 entrees. The appetizers being the shrimp was really good. However I ordered the half of chicken and both pieces were raw. I sent it back to be remade, had them make it to go since our lunch time was up. I figured I could reheat later for dinner. When I went to heat up and eat it later, both pieces of chicken were undercooked in thr middle. So disappointed!! Won't return to this location most likely. Service great, food undercooked.

My parents brought me to this restaurant for lunch. It was my first time there and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, not just the food. The staff were all friendly, polite, and provided excellent service. Our waitress was professional and appeared to genuinely care about our dining experience. I ordered a cheeseburger which was of high quality. We also shared a few appetizers which were delicious. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I absolutely adore J Alexander's! The meal was incredible and the server was the most kind and loving we have ever had. I felt so blessed to have such a great waitress today. She had the perfect smile, was kind, positive, welcoming, and always checked up on us. This place has always had my attention since I was 18 years old. I couldn't ask for a better place to have a beautiful lunch or dinner. I am truly grateful and I pray that the Lord blesses this place with greatness forever. Réservez une table maintenant

My partner and I had a fantastic date night at J Alexanders in West Bloomfield. We were served by an amazing waitress named Tahalas. She was incredibly professional and thoughtful, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our meal. We were very pleased with the level of care she gave us and will definitely request her section on our next visit. It was a truly wonderful dining experience thanks to Tahalas.

Fries were pretty good. But thats the only good thing i can say. Very very cold inside. I was so uncomfortable. Got our food before silverware. Had to ask for them. I ordered a steak medium and it came back over well. So dry. Sent back and it came back medium well. Very tasteless. Seemed they didnt season it at all. Not even with salt or pepper. Not to mention, way over priced. Personally a waste of time and money.

Had not been here since 2011, this was my daughters treat so why not enjoy an old time favorite...it appears the Mac n cheese may have changed a little but still pretty good, the chicken was indeed crispy, tbh it wasn’t the dish I was expecting, I ate a few bites and boxed the rest. My daughter enjoyed her chicken sandwich which she stated was very flavorful and filling.

Yesterday was my second time visiting this location and it was amazing as the first time! My server Alexis was super polite and just down to earth, which brings me back each time! As far as the food, from the appetizer to the main course everything was hot and fresh! Alexis is the best person to ask for by far! Thank you! Réservez une table maintenant

Their Grilled Chicken Salad is delicious and one of my favorites. I like to get it chopped and tossed. They also have a mouth watering carrot cake that they serve warm. Service is good and restaurant clean.
