J. Bruner's At The Haunted House

Based on the google reviews, we went into this without high expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience. We went with an office party of 15+ people, and the staff communicated well with the reservation and was amazingly friendly the whole time. They did get a few things wrong here and there, but nothing that wasn't easily fixed. They let us wander around the house and gave a great history of the property. The owner even came out upon request and told us some more history of the house and the neat things that have happened since he purchased the property. I have always wanted to go to the Haunted House Restaurant and then found out they are closing! I finally made it and it was wonderful! My husband had the fried lobster and it was amazing!! Cooked perfectly and a very generous portion. I had the chicken pasta which was similar to a chicken scampi. It was delicious as well. The service was great! Hope someone else picks up the restaurant and reopens it!

Christmas turkey/ham dinner was not up to past holiday visits. I can purchase the same meal for $10 not $40+,and have a better meal. There was nothing special abut this restaurant holiday dinner menu. I will not return for Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Closing down, new years day last day operating, out of most everything on menu, wait staff doing there best, but hands tied by nothing left to serve but cold prime rib.
