J B's Pub & Restaurant

Have been coming here for years for the fish n chips...I don't live in the area anymore but still love to visit when around. Love the Halibut portions are always nice and large - I've never left hungry. The fries are a home style and very fresh (we were there an hour after opening so all oils were fresh) - server was very friendly and efficient as she got fairly busy after we arrived. I mainly go for the fish n chips - my other half went for the Halibut Chowder - I wasn't a fan but I prefer cream chowders and this was a tomato based one. The server let us know before we ordered, he liked it though. Excellent food and experience....

Was staying at Ainsworth, saw the sign just on the highway directing us to the pub 5 min drive away. The pub has a really nice atmosphere. The waitress was very friendly , quick and attentive to the customers. Prices are very reasonable. I had the chicken cordon blue with baked potatoes. It was really good. The vegetables on the plate were very fresh and perfectly cooked. The gravy was delicious. My boyfriend had a super burger and fries which he said was really good. Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

Ordered the Halibut fish and chip meal. Fries were excellent. Fish was good. I find most fish from restaurants to be greasy but this was not. My wife said her chicken burger was good. Service was ok but you had to catch the waiteress attention every time you wanted something like refills on drinks, ketchup etc.

My new wife told me this place was the best to have fish and chips. She was not wrong. We ate here two nights in a row. The fish is lightly battered with great flavor. The fish is fresh and big. The topping on the night was the brown gravy to dip our fries into. Réservez une table maintenant

Great food, loved the old place. So much history and old photos on the wall. We had the halibut and chips! It was great. The home baked deserts were also top notch!! Not to mention there is a place to stay right there at the Woodbury resort!

For a quick meal it was good enough. Nice beer. We had fish and chips, nice fish, dreadful chips. I think they were baked in old fat, not quite done either. The coffee (plenty) was more or less like tea.

We stayed for a night at the nearby hotel, And decides to try the famous JB's pub, and upon reviews on the famous Halibut we decided to order it. The Halibut was very good, but a bit pricy.

Best melt in your mouth fish and chips you will ever have there is also motel rooms cabins and rv rental nice beach on the lake. Réservez une table maintenant

Great fish and chips worth the stop. just like they say! Service was friendly and they have an happy hour between 3pm and 6 pm

I ordered the ribs with a side of potato pie. The ribs were excellant and the potato pie was out of this world good.
