J. Gilbert’s – Wood Fired Steaks Seafood Mclean

It was our first visit to J Gilbert's...we drove up from South County and the drive was well worth it. We had four excellent meals, the service staff was plentiful and did a great job. We will definitely return to this restaurant...it's so good to find a good steak house with atmosphere. The only negative comment was we got a note with our confirming reservation that there was a dress code business casual. When we got there I saw no evidence of a dress code. They need to either remove or enforce the dress code.

Arrived and was seated at a table for under the amount of people the reservation requested. Had to wait a few minutes for a larger table to be prepared. The atmosphere was nice the place was inviting. The waiter was very friendly and attentive to our needs. There was a mixup with the food orders but everyone enjoyed their meal. At the end of the meal a manager came to make sure we didn’t have any issues or concerns. I will definitely visit again and recommend J. Gilbert’s to others.

We absolutely !! loved the food our Waiter Dylan , selection of food and restaurants ambiance . As we were leaving we were saying how we can’t wait to return .

Asked for calamari to be crispy didn’t happen; asked for straws didn’t receive; mashed potatoes were barely warm

J Gilbert’s is consistently top notched. I have never had a bad meal there and the service is great.
