I ordered a small key lime pie, which was absolutely delicious. However, the pies are the main attraction here. They don’t offer slices, and there are only 3-4 options available in small or medium sizes. Additionally, utensils are not provided, and drinks are not available for purchase. There's no space for dining in; it’s strictly takeout. Parking can also be quite limited and fills up quickly if a lot of people visit at once. This place is a great choice for locals looking to buy pies instead of opting for grocery store or bakery options, but it's not the best choice for day trips or grabbing a quick snack between visits to nearby parks or attractions.
While vacationing in Tarpon Springs, Florida, my dad and I were on the lookout for a Key Lime pie to bring home. As soon as we walked into the shop, we were greeted by a delightful aroma. Everything looked fantastic, and the staff was very friendly. We ended up purchasing a Key Lime pie along with a dozen Key Lime cookies. Once we got home, we couldn't wait to try the cookies. They were moist and soft, yet they held together perfectly. We both agreed that they were among the best cookies we've ever tasted. We plan to go back before we leave to stock up on more. It's clear that they have a passion for what they do!
This bakery truly deserves every one of its five stars! It’s a beautiful local gem, and you can’t go wrong with anything you pick, though the orange cookies are my personal favorite! I'm not a huge fan of Key Lime cake, but I absolutely love JJ Gandys; everything they've offered has been fantastic during the two decades we've lived here. I've noticed many snowbirds heading back north at the end of the season lately; I would be too if I weren’t on the road!
Not only does this place offer the best desserts around, but the staff consistently manages to brighten my day. I have so many favorites that it's hard to list them all, but if you're looking to welcome someone to the neighborhood or show appreciation, you can't go wrong with their Key Lime cookies, which don’t need refrigeration! My daughter found this hidden jewel, and then I came back because it was so delicious. Scare to Natalie because we put an ice pack on our lime cake because we wanted to get to Fred Howard Park. Natalie took special attention to my 10 years old who had that exact vanilla cupcake. Thanks for feeling like family! We're coming back!
My wife went in this shop and picked up there famous key lime pie for us to try as a family. As we sliced into it and began to taste it our daughter took a bite out of hers she found a hair! Yikes! Also from what I?ve tasted the pie tasted more like alemon pie from Publix. It was okay at best.
