This was a phenomenal experience! The food was fresh and flavor packed. The service was quick, friendly and seamless. I’ve had pizza all over the world, this is the first I favor over New Haven pie. I can only explain it as a flaky, crispy flavorful crust and undercarriage. The cheese was smooth, not too overwhelming and not greasy. The service was prompt and attentive, as well as accommodating and friendly. The owner is hands on making the pizza by hand, something that is cherished with it comes to quality food. You get 2 slices and a soda for $6.99. It could have been plain or with a topping, so ya can't go wrong there. The crust was thin, which is a plus. Wish they had more choices on the counter. Only had plain, peperoni, bbq, and Buffalo chicken. Small place. Only has 3 tables in it. It's more of a takeout place. Bit we did dine in. 4 of us had two tables. The other table was taken by the employees doing something else. Overall, the pizza was good, and I would definitely stop by again if I was out that way. As for the pizza itself, it had a light and airy crust that was a little floppy but still manageable. The sauce was sweet and tomato-based, not overwhelmed by garlic or other strong flavors. The cheese had a nice tanginess to it. Overall, it was a decent pizza—tasty, but not something I would go out of my way for. I'm uncertain about returning for the Upside Down pizza; I wonder if it will be significantly better. Should I make the effort?
EDIT: I've learned that the original owners sold the restaurant a few weeks ago, and it's now operating under new management, though they have retained the same name and menu.
Finally, an actual good slice of pizza in South Amboy! The vodka chicken Parm is great, the grandma Sicilian was amazing. The sauce is appropriately tangy (not sickly sweet like other places in town). I can't believe it took me this long to find this spot, but I'm glad I have. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch

I spent $35 on two chicken parmesan sandwiches, but I was disappointed. There was hardly any sauce, some parts of the bread were burnt, and only one side of the sandwich had cheese on it. Overall, I would rate the food a 1, the service a 1, and the atmosphere a 1.
This place has the best pizza in town! The food is outstanding, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is perfect. I would give it a 5 out of 5 in all categories!
