Not worth it. Beer comes in small glasses and is really expensive. My husband's burger was a mess and undercooked (picture). I got 4 fried oysters that were the size of marbles for $16. We spent a combined $50 and left unsatisfied, wishing the bar acrossthe street wasn't so packed because we ate there before and it was way better. UPDATE: It's 3am and my husband is in thebathroom in serious pain, with what appears to be food poisoning. He only had a few bites of the burger, good thing he didn'thave more.
The Tuna Poke Bowl looked like a mess. The presentation was terrible — the rice was so congealed it resembled mashed potatoes. The tuna, kimchi, and seaweed salad were fine but nothing special. The Little Neck Clams were fresh, but the sauce was bland.
The one bright spot was the chowder, which was really good. Unfortunately, we were left feeling that one bowl of tasty chowder isn't enough to make us want to return to J22. There are definitely better options in town. We are quite disappointed.
The menu has become more limited over the past couple of years, but the quality remains high. The clam chowder is truly excellent, and we consistently enjoy our meals. While the selection isn’t extensive, that's understandable considering it's a small restaurant. It has a fun and friendly atmosphere—perfect for mingling with neighbors and locals you might recognize. The bartender is very pleasant, and the chef-owner is wonderful. It’s great to support this local eatery.
The food was quite average. I ordered the fish fry, which was supposed to be Cajun but had barely any flavor. It was overly breaded, and much of it was oily and undercooked. The fish itself was decent, but the breading detracted from it. The shrimp and fish tacos were also unremarkable. Overall, it wasn't worth the price.

J22 is located in Jamestown oyster old location. We enjoyed the local oyster, and my tuna poke was excellent. It was different from other tuna pokes I had in the past, but it was very tasty and creative. J22 has two outdoor tables, and we were lucky toget one. Nice pleasant wind with a view of the water it was perfect.

At first glance J22 Tap and Table looked like it was going to be a great experience, but it rapidly went south. Service was slow ????, food was hit and miss if it were even available that night. Not the dinner experience I was hoping for.
A must see ..worth the trip taking a detour to Jamestown! As you can see it was delicious and fresh perfectly melted flavors. Only outside seating ..made it even more authentic! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
