Jack Astor's Bar and Grill

I absolutely love the nachos at this restaurant - it's the only place I go to get them! They also have a great selection of alcoholic drinks. The prices are a bit high, but it's my favorite spot to go to. Many of the servers are incredibly friendly, especially Étienne and Trésor who have always provided excellent service. I recommend sitting in their sections. The outdoor seating is beautiful, and I enjoyed being visited by tiny birds. Menu change not for the best. Service was slow, the waiter forgot we were there all evening. Once finished eating half the table kept their plates. The table next to us got there after us, had time to order, eat, have dessert, get their check and leave before we even saw our waiter for the second time! We did not have appetizers, main course only, no dessert, took a little over 2 hours. Crazy how nonchalant he was! Not a “sorry, we are busy” or “we are short on staff” it’s as if this was normal! We saw more of the other wait staff all evening. Ordered the kids dessert, well, another 10 minute wait. No way we were having dessert!

Restaurant Manager (Dave Bird) is not professional enough to manage the restaurant. He refused to combine 2 tables together to accommodate a group of 6 people and instead forced us to sit on hi-table although we had a kid and a pregnant woman who was not sitting comfortably. Restaurant manager was rude and refused to find us any solution or to give any reason for his decision. Honestly, this attitude has nothing to do with hospitality or guest service.

We visited Jack Astor's in Boisbriand to see if it was similar to the ones we go to in Toronto and it was. It is a large restaurant with plenty of seating, a Sports Bar with large TV in a separate area from the main dinning room which is nice. The food is good and they were accomodating with my reguest for a low-carb gluten-free option. Overall, a good experience. Réservez une table maintenant

I am delighted to report that our experience at the restaurant was truly exceptional. We were able to dine outside and receive excellent service from E, who was friendly and bilingual. We spent around 2 hours at the restaurant and never felt rushed to order or leave. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. I will definitely be returning.

I love Jack Astor's but the only things keeping it from a 5 star is the price and portion size. I always eat the chicken tenders and you don't get enough fries in my opinion, especially when you compare with the fries portion of a burger plate.

Met a client and had the worst steak in my life. I asked for rice as side dish and it was just plain old white rice. Nasty…not worth the money. 40$ cheap steak! Money not well spent for sure
