Exploytation. Jack’s bakery Halls head.... Good Friday morning my grandchildren arrived visiting. My wife deciding treat them to toasted hot cross-buns. From Jack’s Bakery located Farmer Jacks store Halls Head they charged my wife $7:50 for six buns. I believe normal retail for same buns purchased at other retail outlets around town $1:50. When my wife challenged the price, the reply she received. “Well! It is Easter” Hot-cross buns! Is this not in part what Easter is! Eating hot cross buns, not to exploited, this does not sit it well. the place in mandurah for eccels. I used to buy eccels for my man in miami bakehouse, but they haven't sold them for a while. I recently discovered that jacks bakery do in halls head so I bought one for my man to try it. he enjoyed it, so I went back later to buy another and unfortunately they had sold out. the young girl who served me said they were very popular and sold out regularly. in any case the place to go eccels in mandurah. the Danish baked and apfelstrudel are also very moorish and recommended!
I would not recommend you buy the sushi or toasted sandwiches. Generally the toasties have been sitting out for hours and the crusts are as hard as a rock. The sushi has, on at least 6 occasions over the past 3 months, been horrible. The rice is hard or soggy. The last time I was ill and have learnt my lesson not to buy again. The Owner is lovely, very friendly and will resolve a problem immediately, it is unfortuneate about his team though.Slices are good.
