We were between Truro and Halifax and needed a place to eat. Google maps found this one for us. The restaurant is in the very tiny town of Shubenacadie, right on the river of the same name. The diner is nondescript, with little charm. The...More

The only reason I am giving this restaurant 2 stars is because of their nostalgic 1950s atmosphere. However, other than that, we were very disappointed. My boyfriend and I decided to go for a drive to this place.

I remember the chicken burgers used to come with gravy. Am I mistaken? Now it's just dry diced chicken on a steamed bun. The beef burgers are decent.
