This is my first time at the restaurant, and I did enjoy the total experience overall. Of all the meals I enjoyed mine the tortellini in cream sauce the least, as it was a little too rich for my taste, and bordered on being salty. My other dining companion had tortellini and pesto sauce, which I thought was good, but she thought it was a bit too grainy for her. My partner had linguine Pescatore which was very good. The bruschetta they serve complementary at the beginning of the meal was delicious and we also had the antipasto salad and calamari, which was also stellar. Everything about this place is meh. Which is a pity because it could be a lot better with minimal effort, but it seems to run on autopilot. It’s a cozy little neighborhood place. But the service was very indifferent. Our server never bothered to tell us about their specials, and we had to ask for a wine list. Really guys? This is how you make money FFS. We had a flavorless plate of calamari with a lump of tasteless lard that I think was supposed to be aioli. The main courses were fine if not spectacular. If you’re local to the neighborhood and haven’t been highly recommend Jackson Filmore. They treat locals well. They don’t try and be a modern day, trendy spot. True to their roots. And serve quality pasta. Their carbonara is without a doubt my go-to. I’ve had quite a few carbonaras and always think back to Jackson Fillmore’s. Any pasta you get is tasty though. Nico is the man. And everyone that works there has been working there for 20+years.
Loved the experience and most importantly the food. We sat at the bar. Had very good wine and an amazing dinner (I had the Sugo). The portions were perfect and the dessert (tiramisu) was excellent. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Loved it! Réservez une table maintenant
