We had a wonderful dinner last night at Jai Alai, and I must say this place is fantastic! Tucked away off Blackwell Street, this hidden gem is definitely worth a visit. It's a family-run restaurant, and the food is consistently excellent. We tried the paella for our family meal, and it was exceptional. Their homemade sangria is delicious as well, and the full bar means you can find any drink you desire. This restaurant is family-friendly and a great example of a locally owned business, so I highly encourage everyone to come out and support them!
We've heard great things about this restaurant for years, and we finally decided to visit. We absolutely loved all the dishes we ordered: escargots, stuffed mushrooms, gazpacho, and paella. If you're there in the summer, be sure to try the gazpacho while it’s available! The paella was fantastic, and we even had some leftovers, which tasted just as delicious the next day. The staff was incredibly friendly, providing excellent service. Don't miss out on the white sangria—it's amazing, too!
This is the best kept secret in Dover, NJ. The place feels so old school, but there's this amazing new world charm in the owners. They are accommodating and kind and funny and just wonderful. The food here is beautiful; the dishes are rich and delicious without being too much. Come with an appetite and dine at Jai-Alai while you can. This is a gem of a generation and we will be lesser for being without them one day.
This is our favorite Northern Spanish restaurant—nothing else even comes close. The stuffed flounder and mahi mahi Jai Lai were excellent, and we would return just for the stuffed mushroom caps. The paella surpasses anything found in Ironbound. The sangria has a perfect balance, not overly sweet. The prices are reasonable, too. The bar is a popular spot for local power brokers.

Very traditional old world style restaurant. The food was authentic and delicious. Ordered the paella vizcaina , pork chops and bistec de buey as well as tapas such as scargot, and chorizo. It was on point and delicious. The white sangria was average. The service and overall experience was excellent.
