Another case of the comeonnnnnnn . Checked the reviews prior and had some apprehensions but said I would give it a shot. The stories about the customer service are not legend they are truth as I waited around an additional five minutes for my order that was already ready after being told twice they were cooking. But, lets talk food as this was a rather humorous dining experience. I 've never seen chicken this small in my life and they are flat out ripping people off at these
The mac and cheese was pretty forgettable; it lacked flavor and a good cheese profile. The oxtails had the right level of spice, but the balance between spice and seasoning was completely off. On the plus side, the oxtails were cooked perfectly and fell off the bone. Overall, I would rate the food a 2 out of 5. Would I recommend this place? Definitely not. Would definitely eat here again on any of my road-trips or visits to DC. The jerk, mac-n-cheese, oxtails-everything bought was enjoyable BUT your curry goat was on point!!!. I enjoyed that the most. Definitely recommend-great fresh homemade food, drinks, desserts at great prices.
Oxtail with the rice and peas was amazing. Plus I had the jerk chicken wings Everything was fresh and amazing tasted phenomenal. Do not sleep on this Jamaican spot. This place is definitely worth a try. Réservez une table maintenant
I loved everything about this restaurant. I ordered jerk chicken, ox tails, and king fish. They also had Jamaican black cake. Taste like a chocolate fruit cake! Great food!
The food was excellent, and the service was just right for a Jamaican restaurant—if you know, you know. This is definitely a place I’ll return to when I’m back in DC!
