????????????So normally I wouldn?t even give it two stars But out of respect for the owner and his other stores/restaurants I?m being courteous. I?ve been a long time customer of jamaFO Canoga and I LOVE THEM ????. Their newest restaurant is in Encino and both times I?ve been to this location the staff have been extremely rude and seem to have a very misunderstood definition of customer service the woman who is there today August 2, 2022 at approximately 1:30 PM is out right
Ordered the Jerk Chicken box. Came with fried plantains and coconut rice and beans. Coleslaw and extra jerk sauce on the side. All were great. I'm no jerk chicken expert but, chicken was was moist and came clean off the bone. Poured extra sauce on chicken and the spiciness was perfect for me. Made my brow glisten a little but, did not kill the flavor. Rice and plantains went well with it. Also ordered the carrot cake great as well. I will definitely be back.
The food here is exceptionally flavorful and I really appreciate the variety of vegan options. I ordered the curry ?chicken? and it was delicious, though I?d note that ?spicy? was absolutely covered in red pepper flakes that changed the texture in a bad way. I loved the rice and plantains. Veggies were great too, very flavorful. I wish there were slightly more veggies and less rice. But it was a super tasty meal and I?ll definitely be back.
Why you still reading the reviews? If you don't get up and go to this restaurant, it's delicious. I'm so glad this was my excitement trying Jamaican cuisine for the first time. The oxtails were tender, the hell chicken was a nice balance of flavor and spice. Did I mention you get fed like you're going camping for 3 days? Just go, stop questioning yourself or else you're going to miss out. AND GET THE PINEAPPLE SODA!! Réservez une table maintenant
Why are you still reading reviews? If you don't go to this restaurant, you're missing out on something delicious. I was excited to try Jamaican cuisine for the first time and I'm glad I did. The oxtails were tender and the jerk chicken had the perfect balance of flavor and spice. Plus, the portion sizes are huge. Stop hesitating and just go, or you'll regret it. And make sure to try the pineapple soda!
Love it! The jerk tofu pineapple box is so yummy, customer service was also great last night! I had a problem with the app where I ordered it and the 2 girls were really nice and helpful. (Don?t order through Restaurant Direct, they charged me and they don?t even receive orders from that server. Order through JamaFo app instead!
The oxtail at this restaurant is top-notch. It is incredibly tasty and they offer both vegan and non-vegan versions. The sauce is to die for. In terms of vegetarian options, there are plenty, and the same goes for vegan options. The parking lot may not be very big, but there is always a spot available.
Delicious! Nice hearty portions. Got the jerk chicken and it was moist and had the perfect spiciness with an accompanying sweet sauce, with a huge portion of rice and beans. Additional sides are plantains and I had the Cole slaw. My friend had the shrimp and it was also delicious. Highly recommend. Réservez une table maintenant
