It was such a relief for me as a mom to let my child play while we enjoyed our meal, and I felt she was completely safe. It truly melted my heart, and I even found myself crying on the way home because I had never experienced such a warm and welcoming environment in a restaurant before. In the past, I've often faced disapproving looks when my child gets fussy or throws food on the floor, but that wasn’t the case at Janet's. Even when I offered to clean up, they wouldn’t let me.
If you’re looking for a place to eat, I highly recommend this restaurant. The people here are truly amazing!
My wife and I always stop at Janet's Kitchen whenever we drive from North Carolina to Wisconsin to see family. Although it’s a bit off the Interstate, it’s definitely worth the detour. The food is just as fantastic as it used to be. The portions are generous, reasonably priced, and taste just like homemade meals should. If you go for breakfast, you absolutely have to try the pork sausage—it’s incredibly delicious!
This quaint little diner is truly a hidden gem. It may be small, but the food is outstanding. The menu is straightforward, offering simple yet delicious options. I was particularly impressed to find perfectly cooked over-easy eggs, which is rare to find in restaurants. I will definitely return for more. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5.
I stumbled over this little jewel of nostalgia. Riding on the Interstate I went out thinking I would have breakfast in the Agriturismo. No. It is not open for breakfast. My fortune is saved. Janet's kitchen is good food. Really cheap. Child cartridges gave me good ways to go around the wreck on the Interstate. Win! Lose Agriturismo!

Great little spot for breakfast! Kathy, was our server and she was very attentive. The best part were the toys they had available for my kiddos to play with while we were there! Kid-friendliness: Small toys for kids to play with. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $20–30
Fastest homemade breakfast in town--and the prices are great! Complete with BS- er table for local regulars, this down-home jewel in Rensselaer will get your neck fed and get you back on the road. Big thumbs-up!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about this restaurant! The food is amazing, regardless of what you order, and the decor is truly stunning!
