My husband and I visited here tonight (Saturday night). My husband and his brother had visited previously and found it good/average but not really any complaints. This time, however was a completely different story. The place was only half full which was maybe an indication on a Saturday night but we were greeted and seated immediately in the window and the interior decor was nicely done and it felt welcoming. The staff here speak limited Swiss/German and no English (unusual for Zurich as we've eaten out a lot) but we got by, pointing at what we wanted from the menus and my basic German. I was looking forward to our meal and we ordered starters to share of chicken satay and dip and spring rolls. Both were really good, hot, spicy and a great indication of the food that was yet to arrive....NOT. The main courses were quite shocking in comparison. My husband eats ANYTHING and I am not a fussy eater but these meals seemed like someone had sent them back and they'd been left on the side. We should have complained but people never do, do they?...We ordered a rice to share but two arrived, both were stodgy and sticky and cooler than luke warm. I had the pork strips with a dip and it was all less than luke warm (maybe it was meant to be?). The meat was fatty and chewy, a very poor quality and I ate 1/4 of it. My husband's dish was very hot in spices (too hot) but the meat was again luke warm (granted, this was not the restaurants fault that it was spicy, we should have asked but luke warm meat?) We really should have said something but were stunned into silence. We asked for tap water and the waitress didn't understand us so we decided just to eat what we could force down and leave. His meat was fatty, chewy and a very poor quality and for the first time I saw him leave half a plateful. If we'd had two rounds of the starters and another beer each we'd have had a good experience but this main course was quite poor and not a great end to our long day that we'd spent travelling in the car. This is my worst TripAdvisor review i've given to date and I said that I wouldn't be this blunt, but on this occasion, it was necessary. The staff weren't really that friendly or attentive, just going through the bored motions of a job and we didn't leave a tip for the first time in our 10 years of eating in restaurants together. At 88CHF (they didn't charge for the rice, maybe it was included?) it was quite criminal.

Visited Jai Prays with five family members. A small Thai restaurant in a tired area of Zurich. Menu was small but interesting. Decor good for a quick meal and gone. The main fault was not the food, it was delicious except the Tom Yum Soup as a main course was only warm. It was the time it took took to serve the six dishes to six people after the first dish arrived on the table! 22 minutes!!! Two of us had finished our meal as the last member was just getting theirs! All should have arrived at the same time or near to it. Poor kitchen priorities. When questioned the management just shrugged their shoulders. When in Switzerland be prepared - It's not a cheap or even reasonable country to eat out. Six dishes and two small beers and my wallet was 218 Swiss francs lighter. Tap water was free but not chilled. Not particularly thoughtful on a very warm Summer night.Table waiter was very good, waitresses left something to be desired and kitchen staff should be looking elsewhere if they cannot control their time. Overall an adequate restaurant let down by kitchen staff. Would I dine there again - no.

had green and paenang curry. green curry I would rate 2/5 (smelled and looked like riz cazimir (powder?) and was a shame to all curries) and paenang 3/5 (ok but meat with glutomat and tastewise very average/too much coco milk). def. the least tasty curries we ever had (we must have had hundreds). all in all rather a disappointment. we've travelled through thailand for months and cooked better in thai cooking school in chiang mai. go to asiaway in oerlikon instead, they know how a curry really tastes and how to cook them (and are also less expensive). also, never ask how spicy I want the curry. there is only one way how each curry is supposed to be. especially if u want to be an authentic thai. if u cannot master curries, why should I even try the specialities here that the gault millau junior boy raved about?we won't be back. thai food is not allowed to be average.

Pls go try with Thai people if possible (they know how to order hahah) and ask for authenticity (they tend to make very soft version for European for the sake of spiciness) But worth every cent u pay ~~
