We went here based on the TA recommendation as it's the highest rated sushi in town. We had tried sushi at another establishment in PG, which I reviewed, that was hands down the worst sushi we've ever had.First impressions: restaurant is small and popular, there are definite lunch and dinner rushes. The restaurant also offers pre-made sushi to go, which I think is pretty convenient, so, if you're in a hurry it would be an easy stop. This place may be tiny but they sure do slam out the amazing sushi! All of it! From the bento boxes, dynamite rolls, (with real fish eggs not just sesame seeds sprinkled on the top)! and the deep fried prawn tempura and veggies are amazing! Too good to share! The sweet potatoes/yam and zucchini tempura I could eat 100 of them! Yummmmmmy!The staff are so sweet, they always have a smile and great you upon entry and exit. My wife and I have literally spent hundreds of dollars here over the last few years; we like to eat there at least once a week. The sushi is always fresh, always perfect, and always tastes amazing. The staff there are super efficient and even when it's packed the wait times are almost non-existent. If you're in Northern BC and want genuine Japanese food/sushi I would recommend you only visit Wasabi.
I'm staying down town Prince George and there are limited options for getting a quick lunch that is not unhealthy fast food. Wasabi Sushi was very good. They had sit down and take away options. You could see the kitchen staff preparing the food. It was fresh. It is not the "best sushi you will ever have", but it is good and you will be happy with it based on your options. We went out for a fast lunch. Wasabi is a good choice for getting quality meals. We thought we'd try something different, and had a seafood udon dish. Tasty with veggies, seafood and noodles. Glad we tried it! Also had the PG rolls with it. Plenty of food for two for lunch.
