Jasper's West Side

Alexis ? our server was terrific; friendly, informative, attentive but not overly. We shared an arugula and beet salad and hummus plate both good but nothing special. My friends enjoyed their scallops small portion and flat iron steak. My husband had the Cuban sandwich which tasted odd and was basically just a large ham sandwich. I had the pasta and rock shrimp. There was enough pasta on the plate for 4 servings. I counted 8 shrimp about the size of a quarter and a similar number and size of zucchini chunks. The sauce was pretty much all soaked into the pasta making the whole dish a little gluey. Very disappointing. Based on our experience we will not be returning.

We decided to try this restaurant for 1st time. Small, nice decor, and nice bar. Service was great and very friendly. Quite noisy as soon as we walked in. Parking is almost non-existent in that neighborhood. They did have free valet, which was nice. Food. Hm. Hubs and I both had sea bass, preparedvery nicely. Portion was sufficient, but not abundant. All in all we felt restaurant was expensive for what it was. We will try again though as it is restaurant week and maybe portions were small as result. Also may try happy hour.

This was our second time to Jasper's west side. It was a Saturday night and they were out of a number of things on the menu. No oysters, another appetizer and no pasta with rock shrimp. They only have 6 entree items so to be out of one of them is a bit disappointing. I got the herb marinated chicken, which was not as good as the first time I got it. Overall the meals were good, service was just OK. Not sure I would rush back again.

Great experience...creative food delicious.. attentive and nice service..we were there mid day... and even not crowded was a bit noisy...

Food was great. Staff was awesome! Easy to get a reservation through OpenTable.
