Over the years we have been regulars here. The food is invariably good as is the vibe, but usually the service is slow, to the point of complaining. My wife and I went last night and the service was far slower than usual. After waiting 45 minutes for a pizza I asked the head waiter (who was just passing the table) how much longer we would have to wait. He was non committal, just saying that they were busy. He didn 't even go to check or apologise. After an hour I asked one of the young waitresses how long it would be. She went to check and a few minutes later brought out the pizzas, over an hour after ordering. She, at least, apologised for the wait, although couldn 't provide us with pizza...
We had a positive experience during our Wednesday lunch visit to this restaurant, so we decided to book for dinner. However, it turned out to be a big mistake. We were seated on the top floor, which was empty, cold, and lacked atmosphere. We ordered 2 starters and 2 main courses, but they all arrived at the same time. After finishing our meal, we were asked to move to the lower floor as they were preparing to close the top floor. Shortly after ordering more drinks, we were informed that it was last orders as they were closing soon, even though it was only 9pm. Came here as a group of 4 for lunch on Sunday. Very nice menu with plenty of choice. I had the Croque Monsieur which was lovely. Big portion with lovely pieces of bread and a great thick cheese sauce. My wife had the chicken BLT bagel which was good. Pieces of chicken were a bit big and not as fresh tasting as they should have been. Others in the group had toasted sandwich which also looked really good. They all came with a nice small salad and really nice pot of coleslaw. Prices good for the portion sizes and all the staff were very nice and efficient. Will come back in an evening hopefully in future to try their pizza!
I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The dinner menu was very limited and seemed more suited for lunchtime. The service was just okay, and we ordered a starter to share which arrived with our meal. At 8pm, we were asked to move because they were preparing to close the top floor. The staff made us feel rushed and uncomfortable, and we felt like we were in the way. While I understand they close at 9pm, we felt hassled from 8pm onwards. Overall, it was not a good experience. I may consider returning during the day, but I will not be coming back in the evening.

Have been coming here for sometime now. Usually lovely. I had a tasty Vegan Buddha bowel today, scone was poor with melted butter. .. not to the usual standard. However the thing that really annoyed me was when we left seeing a waiter on a break, ciggy in hand, leaning over a bin at the side of the restaurant, looking at his phone.... yuk . Guess he will then go on to serve customers after slouching over a bin for a rest.... really has put me off.
We came here on a Tuesday evening, inside the layout is really lovely and cosy. We had a meze to start consisting of pitta bread olives hummus alioli which was tasty, we then had a pizza each which arrive on a wooden board which were also really tasty. Unlike the other reviews on here the service we had was quick and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning in the near future.
A splendid cafe. The range of food is great. I had curried cauliflower soup (smooth and tasty, just spicy enough) and a toasted sandwich. But I could have had a much more substantial meal. And some evenings they do what look like magnificent tasting menus with complementary wines which look good value. Service was great and the decor eclectic and fascinating. A memorable experience
OMG .... This place is amazing ... boujiee inside and out ....and amazing choice on the menu at reasonable prices ... we had the goats cheese and caramelised onion pizza (delicious) and the mezze to share (delicious) the drinks were lovely ... service was especially pleasant (a refreshing change)....if your going to go my advice is to pre book a table as its always busy .

excellent spot ALWAYS struggle to get a table no chance on a sunny day unless early undoubtedly the best coffee in the area and excellent nibble type menu note mediteranean themed throughout. The italian nanna (assumingly the owners nanna) does a homemade lemon custard type cake “tarte de nonna” i think it was called; iv never tasted anything like it Highly recommend!
