Food was 3 stars, service was 5. There are quite a few Mexican/American food restaurants in the area and this one seems pretty middle of the road by comparison. I have had 5 or 6 different meals there and I'd say that what makes the food good is the size of the menu. There are a lot of options to choose from. So, everyone can typically find something they will like. But none of the options are particularly amazing to me. They are good about adjusting certain dishes to make them work for your taste or dietary restrictions. In the end, the food isn't bad. I rate it a solid 3 stars. I gave them an extra start to bring it up to 4 in total just because the service here has always been amazing. Th...

We have dined at this restaurant more than 100 times. I find it amusing to read other reviews complaining about the authenticity of the food. In reality, the food is delicious. It may not be entirely authentic, as it is Americanized Mexican cuisine. The service has always been excellent. The dishes are always served hot and quickly, and the portions are quite generous – which is better than being too small. The restaurant is always bustling when we arrive, which speaks volumes about its popularity. Contrary to some reviews, they do offer free refills. While you can find authentic Mexican cuisine elsewhere, it usually comes at a higher price. Javier's offers a nice ambiance, fast and friendly...
I used to eat at Javier's by the tracks in Ogden during college. It was really one of my favorite places! I was excited to see the Farmington site open. At first it great. Free kid days, fresh salsa and chips, free refills on Horcheta, good food, etc. It WAS just great. Today we came again: told kids no longer eat free (even on Wed. , salsa and chips tasted old and stale and under flavored, food was sloppily prepared with unsatisfactory flavors, was told that all refills cost extra, and in general was a very unsatisfactory experience with poor customer service from the wait staff! This was our last visit. Which makes me sad, truly. I used to love this place!
The food is reasonably priced for the portion sizes especially their lunch items and it's in a convenient location and service is great, but the food is really anything but authentic. My biggest complaint is that the food is way too salty. My husband's biggest complaint is that their verde sauce isn't green at all instead it is bright yellow orange although it tastes ok. For a family friendly basic American style Mexican restaurant, it's worth a stop. But if you're really looking for authentic food, you may want to keep looking. Réservez une table maintenant
Good atmosphere and the service we got from Octavio (sp? was great, unfortunately the food was not impressive. The Chile relleno was pretty good, but it tasted freezer burned. The salsa bar is a good idea, but most of the salsas were out. The smothered chicken burrito was a good size but the chicken was tough. And the prices were high for what you get. *if you liked my review or found it to be helpful give it a thumbs up thanks! And follow me on Google Maps for more reviews, thanks!
The waitstaff at this restaurant were extremely friendly, and I admire that they take Mondays off to spend time with their families (hopefully indicating a positive work environment). The food was delicious, and while the Horchata was a bit strong, it was still enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Went on a nice birthday dinner with my dad and aunt. Food and service was great! My dad kept ordering water cups though. Im worried he is the cause for the drought.
We've visited this location dozens of times, over the years. Food is good and the Owners are kind people, all of them! Easy to support a place, like this. Réservez une table maintenant
Definitely one of the best side street restaurants in town with amazing prices for a delicious homemade Mexican food.
