I can't believe they don't accept cash! I traveled all the way from Scarborough to try their ice cream and only had cash on me (left my cards at home). My kids were crying because we couldn't get the ice cream, and the girl who worked there didn't seem to care at all. Wow! There are still heartless people out there. I will never support this terrible place. She just blamed it on Covid! What does Covid have to do with not accepting cash? I have lost my respect for this town. It's not the same as it was 20 years ago.
I had been searching for a specific Coconut Ice Cream since the early 2000s and finally found it at this restaurant. The staff is friendly and easy to talk to, even when they are busy during the summer. The prices are fair and the portions are generous. I especially enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere of the old-fashioned Ice Cream Parlor.
