I took my son here for lunch during the day, and I was surprised by how busy it was during the week. I know it gets packed on Friday nights and weekends. It's a fairly typical bar/American style restaurant. Neutral decor, feels clean. I had a turkey melt and my son had a mushroom swiss patty melt. Both were pretty good. I recommend the regular fries vs the other style of fries they have (western? Spicy?....I forget but they are cut veery small and had very little flavor) pretty good if relatively generic food. My wife has gone a couple times and had good experiences. Everything was cooked well, so that's passing for me. I'm always alittle put off when you walk in and there's no indication of what to do. Do you wait to be seated or seat yourself. Sometimes this place is one and sometimes the other. There's not quite enough separation between the bar side and the restaurant side, which is why this happens.....so put a sign up please! I think the kitchen forgot about my order(or something....we waited a long time) the waitress did realize this and apologized and gave me a discount on my order. We weren't in a rush, so no harm done. Overall, this is one of the nicer restaurants in Salem....which isn't saying much. But it's a safe choice that's has good food. I would come back.
